Abbaye Notre-Dame de Leffe
Dinant Founded in 1152
Abbaye Notre-Dame de Leffe, at the entrance to Dinant in the province of Namur in Belgium, is a Norbertine community established in this location since 1152, between town and nature. These canons regular live according to the Rule of Saint Augustine and are inspired by the charism of Saint Norbert, organizing their life around liturgical prayer, fraternal life, and pastoral service, in a spirit of simplicity, hospitality, reconciliation, and peace, with particular attention to the poorest and to those seeking spiritual growth.
At the heart of the Meuse, Leffe, and Lesse valleys, the abbey offers an ideal setting for silence, prayer, and inner renewal. Guests come to experience a spiritual or Christian retreat at the rhythm of the community, while walks on foot and bicycle rides invite them to enjoy the surrounding nature.
