The Cenacle Spiritual Center is a spiritual retreat run by the Ignatian apostolic sisters, established since 1921 at 68 avenue de Paris, in Versailles, in the Yvelines. Heirs to the spiritual tradition of Saint Ignatius of Loyola and his Spiritual Exercises, the sisters organize their daily life around three pillars: apostolic service, community life, and a life of prayer. This international community also hosts the European novitiate, where women wishing to join the congregation are formed over two years.

Nestled in a park of more than three hectares with shaded paths and a large pond, the center offers a true haven of peace in the heart of the city. Nearly 7,000 people come each year to find renewal and take part in a variety of retreats and programs, in a spirit of integral ecology. The community places itself at the service of anyone seeking meaning, God, or spiritual growth.

Welcome & spiritual guidance

The Ignatian sisters offer a compassionate, listening presence and spiritual guidance open to everyone, believers and non-believers alike. Guests are also welcome to come simply to enjoy the peace of the place, outside of any preached retreat.

Spiritual Exercises

The Cenacle's specialty is the preaching of the Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius, refined through more than 500 years of practice. Several formats are offered: retreats with spiritual guidance, and preached and accompanied retreats based on the Spiritual Exercises.

Park & nature

The three-hectare English-style park is home to more than 200 trees of around thirty species, a large pond, and shaded walking paths. A true urban ecosystem, it is freely accessible to guests of the center.

Located at 68 avenue de Paris in Versailles, the center is 20 minutes by train from central Paris (Versailles-Chantiers station) and 800 meters from the Château de Versailles.
