Chalet Notre-Dame des Refuges
La Léchère Savoie
Chalet Notre-Dame des Refuges is a spiritual retreat nestled at 4,462 feet (1,360 meters) above sea level, in a small village in Savoie (Tarentaise-Beaufortain), surrounded by Alpine peaks. Formerly owned by the Foyers de Charité until the end of 2020, it is now managed by an association that maintains a spiritual connection with the Foyers de Charité while drawing on the support of the dioceses of Savoie. A couple, Damien and Nathalie, live there and carry out a mission centered on welcoming various groups for spiritual retreats.
Family-sized, the chalet has 14 rooms with private bathrooms, 22 beds, and even a chapel. Damien and Nathalie organize retreats co-led with priests and offer a warm welcome to all: committed believers or those still finding their way, as well as simple adventurers seeking peace and silence. Summer invites hiking, while winter brings snowshoeing and cross-country or backcountry skiing.
