On the high plateaus of the Rouergue, north of Albi in Occitanie, the convent of Bor raises its small bell tower amid a rolling expanse of wooded hills. It is home to a congregation of Dominican sisters, founded in 1850 and rooted in the great Dominican tradition, with Mother Anastasie (Alexandrine Conduché) as its cornerstone. Dedicated to faith education and care, these sisters are today present in France, Brazil, Italy, Korea, and Vietnam, faithful to the ideal they received: to live the Word of God, proclaim it, and bear witness to it with simplicity, wisdom, courage, and joy.

On the heights of the Viaur valley, the village of Bor nestles in lush countryside, with its convent, its church, and a handful of houses. A small, welcoming community keeps this place of memory alive for the Congregation and opens its doors to those passing through or wishing to pause for a while.
