Couvent de Corbara

The Saint-Dominique Convent of Corbara, in Corsica, is run by the Brothers of Saint-Jean, a community of the Famille Saint-Jean founded in 1975. Nestled in the Balagne, near l'Île-Rousse, the brothers lead a religious and conventual life, serve nine neighboring parishes, and take part in school chaplaincy activities. The site, a former Franciscan convent that became a Dominican formation center, bears witness to the religious history and architectural heritage of the island.

Steps from the sea and surrounded by greenery, the convent is a place of renewal, quiet, and prayer. The doors of the guest house are open for an independent retreat, a time of rest, or a group stay. The convent also hosts cultural events, concerts, exhibitions, and lectures.
