Aventuriers du Bonheur
Are you between 18 and 35 years old, looking to spend the end of the year in prayer and attentive sharing, a practicing Catholic, a catechumen, searching for God, or simply wanting to pause and reflect on your life in peace? Come join us!
Dare the adventure of happiness with Cîteaux Abbey!
- You will celebrate the Liturgy of the Hours, which will mark the rhythm of your day, together with the community.
- You will be accompanied by three brothers and a lay person, with whom you can discover or deepen what God has to say to you through his Word.
- You will be able to share with your guides about the presence of God in your life and the place you want to give him.
- You can share with them the questions that weigh on you, and reflect on the meaning you wish to give your life.
- Finally, you will discover monastic life.

Programme
- Each day, you take part in the monastic offices.
- In the morning, a brother guides you through an experience of lectio divina, that slow, meditative, and prayerful reading of the Bible that the monks themselves practice every day.
- In the afternoon, in keeping with the Rule of Saint Benedict, which recommends a balanced life of prayer, reading, and work, you take part in manual tasks alongside the brothers.
- Prayers, activities, and communal sharing alternate with personal times of prayer and reflection.
Practical information
You are accommodated in individual rooms with a private washroom.
It is preferable to bring your own bed sheets (for a twin bed) and towels.
Meals are taken in the guest house, in silence, listening to a reading by the monks at midday and to music in the evening.
Please plan to bring clothing suitable for manual work and a pair of walking shoes.
Suggested contribution: €35 per day (full board).
