Bible in hand: discovering our roots
What do the scriptures say?
A different approach to the biblical text
- Explore together the Jewish autumn festivals, from Rosh Hashanah (New Year) to Sukkot (the Feast of Tabernacles), including Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement.
- Discover their deeper meaning through the verses of the First Testament.
- Listen for the resonances in Christian texts, tradition, and liturgy.
No prior knowledge of Hebrew is required. But this is an opportunity to reconnect with it for those who already have some familiarity.
