Cénacle Weekend
For couples who wish to renew and revitalize their life, faith, love, intimacy, and marriage covenant
Breathing new life into the heart of commitment in the Church, the world, and the mission
- For couples whose lives are marked by tensions, difficulties, or trials, who want to taste the goodness, love, mercy, and saving power of Christ, who desire to find renewal and draw strength from Jesus, the Messiah: "Come to me, all you who are weary, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28).
- For couples preparing for the sacrament of Matrimony.
- For unmarried couples who are questioning the meaning and purpose of the sacrament of Matrimony.
From the Passion to the Resurrection, 3 days were enough to transform humanity radically through the coming of Christ's salvation on Easter, a salvation received in fullness by the disciples at Pentecost.
In the same way, 3 days, barely 48 hours, 'suffice' for Christ and the Holy Spirit to lead a couple into a profound human and spiritual rebirth; for many, their lives have been deeply transformed, and this Weekend has marked a clear before and after.
Grounded in faith in Christ the Savior and entrusting themselves to the life-giving action of the Holy Spirit, spouses are invited during these Weekends to experience the Church as a "field hospital" so dear to Pope Francis, a blessed time to encounter the salvation of Christ at the heart of their life as a couple and to receive a true outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon their love and their commitment.

Programme
The approach proposed is centered on the progressive reception of the fullness of salvation given in the risen Jesus Christ and poured out by the Holy Spirit. Five stages mark the rhythm of the Weekend:
- Pentecost in our personal lives
- Pentecost in our marriage
- Pentecost in our life as a couple
- Pentecost in our family and our future
- Pentecost in view of the mission
Leadership, method, and format
This Weekend alternates between:
- Liturgical celebrations and praise prayers to open the heart to the Holy Spirit and be nourished by the sacraments
- Preaching to allow the Word of God, the Magisterium of the Church, and the Spirit of Life to speak and bear concrete fruit in our life as a couple
- Spaces for silence, prayer, and Eucharistic adoration, as well as time together as a couple to be present to one another, to welcome each other in wounds and strengths, in poverty and richness...
- The opportunity to meet with a priest for listening and/or the sacrament of reconciliation
- The presence and availability of "praying" couples and "listening" couples
All of this takes place in an atmosphere of kindness and gentleness, of prayer and silence, conducive to reflecting on one's life and listening to what the Lord is saying to the heart of each couple.
