Retreat for New Converts – "Let God light the fire in you!"

Seeing God at work in your life

  • A 4-day retreat for catechumens, neophytes, and returning Catholics, held in silence with time for sharing.
  • This retreat is exclusively for adults on the path toward baptism or Confirmation, those recently baptized or confirmed, and those returning to the faith after a period away from the Church.
  • It is also open to unbaptized adults seeking meaning in their lives through the light of the Christian faith.
  • The companions of catechumens, neophytes, and confirmands are invited to share this journey of faith alongside those they accompany. 4 days to pause, listen, learn to pray, experience the love of God, share, reflect, allow yourself to be transformed, and savor the simple joy of fraternity.

Preacher: Father Jean-Sébastien Tuloup.

Programme

  • Retreatants are expected to arrive from the early afternoon on Wednesday.
  • The retreat begins with dinner and ends the following Sunday around 9:00 a.m., after Mass and breakfast.
  • Each participant commits to taking part fully in all 4 days of the retreat, following a structured spiritual path that leaves room and time to welcome the unexpected gifts of God.

Getting there

Train

The Les Houches train station is the closest. By bus: from several cities in France, Blablabus and Flixbus serve the Chamonix bus station, where you can take bus line 1 (direction Les Houches) to the Le Tourchet stop. From Geneva Airport: Alpybus takes you to Les Houches, Mountain Drop-Offs to La Flatière, and Easybus, Blablabus, and Swisstour to Chamonix. Let the community know your arrival time so they can arrange a taxi to meet you.
