The Gospel, a path to freedom and happiness (Matthew 5–7)

Deepening the faith we have been given

A 6-day retreat, in silence, with children ages 6–12 welcomed at the "Le Rocher" chalet.

Preacher: Bishop Patrick Le Gal.

Programme

  • Retreatants are expected from the early afternoon on Friday.
  • The retreat begins with Mass at 6:30 PM and ends on Pentecost Monday around 9:00 AM, after Mass and breakfast.
  • Each participant commits to taking part fully in all 6 days of the retreat and to living it in silence, in order to walk a guided path of faith that leaves room and time to welcome the unexpected gifts of God.

Practical information

  • Children ages 6 to 12 are welcome when accompanied by a designated adult (parent, godparent, sibling, or grandparent) who is simultaneously making the retreat at La Flatière.
  • The children are entrusted to us for the full duration of the retreat (days and nights) for a time of faith and joy to be shared at the chalet known as "Le Rocher".

Getting there

Train

The Les Houches train station is the closest. By bus: from several cities in France, Blablabus and Flixbus serve the Chamonix bus station, where you can take bus line 1 (direction Les Houches) to the Le Tourchet stop. From Geneva Airport: Alpybus takes you to Les Houches, Mountain Drop-Offs to La Flatière, and Easybus, Blablabus, and Swisstour to Chamonix. Let the community know your arrival time so they can arrange a taxi to meet you.
