A retreat weekend to immerse yourself in silence and prayer... with a community of Carmelite nuns!
Discovering the life of Carmelite nuns in Normandy!
2 days to enter into the experience of life at Carmel. This is a weekend of prayer and silence to:
- Come to the desert, and let your heart rest in silence
- Open yourself to listening to the Lord
- If you wish, receive accompaniment for discernment.
"Flos Carmeli" are the opening words of the traditional prayer to Our Lady of Mount Carmel, recited by all Carmelites.
This prayer will guide you throughout your discernment weekend.

Program
Upon your arrival, the different elements of the retreat are presented to you and we adjust them together to fit your search. You are the protagonist of your weekend! Not forgetting the Holy Spirit who will guide you...
Concretely, we offer you:
- to participate in the Divine Office and the Eucharist with the community
- to be introduced to mental prayer, lectio divina, and inhabited silence
- to have an encounter with the sisters and a time of manual work if you wish.
Practical information
- Lunches and dinners on site.
- Sheets and towels provided.
- Remember to bring a Bible and something to write with.
Getting there
Le Havre train station, then the monastery is accessible on foot (30 min), by bus (30 min), or by taxi (20 min)
Head north via the A13, A84, or A28; or come down from the north via the A29!
Be prepared for a climb on arrival!
