Carmelites Nuns
The Carmel de Carros is a monastery of Discalced Carmelite nuns placed under the patronage of Saint Joseph and Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus, in Carros, in the Alpes-Maritimes, 25 km from Nice and at an altitude of 460 m. It continues the Carmel of Narbonne, founded in 1620 and transferred to Grasse in 1936. The current monastery, built in 1970, was inaugurated on April 18, 1971.
The community has eleven sisters. It can welcome priests, religious, and lay people who wish to make a silent spiritual retreat and participate in the community's prayer, without a preached retreat, for up to seven days and throughout the year, subject to availability.
