Convento de Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Daroca
DarocaSpain Founded in 1522
The Convento de Nuestra Señora del Rosario is a monastery of Dominican nuns located at the end of the Paseo de la Puerta Baja, in Daroca (province of Zaragoza, Aragon, Spain). The site was originally a male convent dedicated to Saint Lazarus, founded in the first half of the 15th century, before becoming a women's convent in 1522. The community celebrated the fifth centenary of its founding in 2021 and 2022.
The church and its choir date from 1466; the south wing from the 17th century features a gallery of arches in the Aragonese style. A restoration in 1964 modified the complex. The monastery belongs to the Federation of the Immaculate Conception. The sources consulted do not describe any retreatant accommodation.
