The Monasterio de la Madre de Dios de Buenafuente del Sistal is an abbey of Cistercian nuns in the hamlet of Buenafuente del Sistal, in the municipality of Olmeda de Cobeta, in the province of Guadalajara (Spain), in the Alto Tajo region. Originally occupied by Augustinian canons regular, the site was entrusted to the Cistercian order: in 1245, the General Chapter approved the arrival of nuns from Casbas (Huesca), who have lived there without interruption since 1246.
Since the 1970s, lay people have joined the nuns' liturgy each day, and the village has repopulated around the monastery. The community offers a guest house, a welcome house, retreats, and contemplative itineraries.
