The Monasterio de la Santa Cruz is home to a community of contemplative Dominican nuns, a member of the Federation of Santo Domingo. It is located in the old town of Vitoria-Gasteiz, in Álava, in the Spanish Basque Country. The community grew out of a beguinage founded in 1511, which became a contemplative community in 1522; the current convent, in Gothic and Renaissance style, was built from 1530 onward. Nuns have lived there without interruption since the 16th century.
The monastery church is open for Masses: on weekday evenings, on Saturday at noon, and on Sundays and feast days in late morning. Vespers and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament are offered on weekend afternoons. Sources consulted make no mention of a guest house.
