Monasterio de la Transfiguracion del Señor

The Monasterio de la Transfiguración del Señor is home to a community of Benedictine nuns on the heights of Trasmañó, a parish in the municipality of Redondela, near Vigo (Pontevedra, Galicia, Spain). The nuns have lived there since 1984; some of them came from the former Benedictine convent of A Guarda.

The community belongs to the Congregación Monástica de Santa Hildegarda. It operates a guest house that welcomes retreatants from across Spain. The nuns bake cookies, work in a liturgical vestments workshop, and tend a vegetable garden and orchard.
