The Abadía Cisterciense de Santa María y San Andrés is an abbey of Cistercian nuns (Cistercian Order, Congregation of Castile) in San Andrés de Arroyo, in the province of Palencia (Spain). It was founded around 1181 by Countess Mencía, of the Haro family, widow of Count Álvaro Pérez de Lara, who served as its first Abbess until her death in 1228 or 1229.
The Romanesque monastery, listed as a Bien d'intérêt culturel, is well known among Romanesque art enthusiasts for its cloister. The nuns offer guided tours of the cloister, by reservation for groups, and sell their pastries, also online. Sources consulted make no mention of a guest house.
