The Monasterio de Santo Domingo el Real is home to a community of contemplative Dominican nuns of the Santo Domingo federation, in Segovia (Castile and León, Spain). Founded in 1513 according to the federation, the convent occupies a former fortified house in the north of the city, featuring the Tower of Hercules, a listed monument since 1931. Nine sisters live there according to the charism of Saint Dominic.
The monastery has six rooms in a separate house, for those wishing to make a retreat or spend time in prayer, and for pilgrims to the grotto of Saint Dominic. The Eucharist is sung each evening. The sisters make figurines, nativity scenes, rosaries, and bookbindings.
