Monasterio de Santo Domingo (San Sebastián)

Donostia-San SebastiánSpain Founded in 1546

Nuns

The Monasterio de Santo Domingo is home to a community of contemplative Dominican nuns in Donostia-San Sebastián, in Guipúzcoa, in the Spanish Basque Country. It belongs to the Federation of Santo Domingo. The enclosure was inaugurated on April 17, 1546, near the church of San Sebastián el Antiguo, at the request of the Bishop of Pamplona, Pedro Pacheco.

Through the city's successive political and military upheavals, the community experienced ten successive exoduses before settling in its current building in the Ategorrieta neighborhood, on Avenue José Elosegi. The sources consulted provide neither office schedules nor information about guest accommodation.
