The Monasterio de Nuestra Señora de la Piedad is home to a community of contemplative Dominican nuns in Casalarreina, in La Rioja. Its construction began in 1514 at the initiative of Juan Fernández de Velasco, bishop of Calahorra and Palencia. The church was consecrated in 1522 during the passage of pope-elect Adrian VI, and the Dominican nuns settled there in 1523.

The building, in the Isabelline Gothic and Renaissance Plateresque style, is listed as a site of cultural interest. It is presented as the only monastery in Spain inaugurated by a pope. The sources consulted make no mention of a guest house or shop.
