Monastery of Mary the Queen

The Monastery of Mary the Queen is a community of cloistered Dominican nuns located at 15635 Greenridge Road, in Girard, Illinois (United States), within the diocese of Springfield. Founded in 1944 in Elmira, New York, the community lived from 2014 to 2022 in Springfield, hosted by the Dominican Sisters of Springfield.

In the fall of 2022, the nuns moved to their new monastery, built on a property of about fifteen acres in Girard. Their day is organized around Mass, the Liturgy of the Hours, Eucharistic adoration, study, and work. They offer discernment weekends for young women.
