Monestir de Sant Domènec de Guzmán

Sant Cugat del Vallès Founded in 2008

Nuns

The Monestir de Sant Domènec de Guzmán is home to a community of contemplative Dominican nuns in Sant Cugat del Vallès, in the province of Barcelona, in Catalonia. It was founded in 2008 through the union of three Catalan communities of the Order of Preachers, those of Sant Cugat, Vic, and Palma de Mallorca, a project approved by the Holy See in May 2008. Since 2023, the community has been under the direct authority of the Master of the Order.

The nuns lead a life of liturgical prayer, study, and work. The church is open for Mass, early in the morning on weekdays and on Sundays, with an additional Mass late in the morning on feast days in winter. The relics of Blessed Josefina Sauleda were transferred there in 2025.
