The Monestir de Sant Pere de les Puel·les is home to a community of Benedictine nuns in the Sarrià neighborhood of Barcelona (Catalonia, Spain). Present in the city without interruption since 945, it is the oldest female community of Benedictine tradition in Barcelona. The former monastery, near the old city walls, retains only its church, which has since become a parish. The current monastery in Sarrià was inaugurated on August 13, 1879.
The nuns, members of the Monastic Congregation of Santa Hildegarda, open their liturgy to visitors and offer courses, retreats, and guided tours. The guest house has sixteen rooms, an oratory, and four meeting rooms. A workshop for the restoration of graphic documents also operates within the monastery.
