The Monestir de Santa Maria de Vallbona is an abbey of Cistercian nuns (Cistercian Order, Congregation of the Crown of Aragon) in Vallbona de les Monges, in the province of Lérida, in Catalonia, Spain. Born from a community of hermits gathered by Ramon de Vallbona, attested in 1153, it became exclusively female and Cistercian in 1175, with a first Abbess who came from Tulebras. It is the principal monastery of Cistercian nuns in Catalonia.
The nuns run a guest house for those who wish to spend a few days in prayer and reflection, closed in January and February. The monastery is open to visitors, with guided tours, and the community has a ceramics workshop.
