Mosteiro de São Bento de Mussurepe

The Mosteiro de São Bento de Mussurepe is a priory of Benedictine monks located in the rural district of Mussurepe, about 30 km from the center of Campos dos Goytacazes, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is a dependency of the São Bento de Rio de Janeiro Abbey, within the Benedictine Congregation of Brazil.

Founded in the 17th century by Brother Bernardo de Montserrat, it is among the oldest religious structures in the region; its original construction dates to 1648. The complex includes the monastery, the church, a workshop, and the cemetery, built in solid brick around a cloister from the 17th to the 19th century.
