Benedictines Monks
Notre-Dame d'Espérance Monastery in Croixrault is the mother house of the Benedictine Congregation of Notre-Dame d'Espérance, founded on October 1, 1966 by Father Henri Guilluy, a monk from Wisques. The congregation enables men in fragile health to live monastic life fully according to the Rule of Saint Benedict. The monastery is located in Croixrault, in the southwest of the Somme department, near Poix-de-Picardie and Amiens.
About a dozen brothers live there. They run a small, welcoming guest house for retreatants and for those considering monastic life, a bookbinding workshop, and a shop selling religious and monastic products. The liturgy, open to all, includes seven daily offices and the Eucharist.
