Saint-Elie Monastery in Saint-Rémy

In the heart of the Diocese of Dijon, specifically in the small town of Saint-Rémy-les-Montbard, Saint-Elie Monastery is home to a community of Carmelite nuns. Its distinctive feature is following the Byzantine rite. In the ecumenical spirit of the Second Vatican Council and according to the spirit of the prophet Elijah (common to Jews, Muslims, and of course Christians), this monastery was conceived as a bridge between East and West.
