The Visitation Monastery of Nevers is home to a community of Visitation nuns, heirs to the monastery founded in Moulins on August 25, 1616, the third house of the order after Annecy and Lyon. After the Revolution, the community was reestablished in La Charité-sur-Loire in 1818, then in Nevers in 1854. Exiled to Belgium in 1908, it returned to Nevers in 1935 and settled in 1993 on the banks of the Loire, on the Route des Saulaies, in the Nièvre.

The monastery offers monastic hospitality for a spiritual stay of up to eight days, with six rooms available. The chapel, set up in a former winemaker's house, is accessible at ground level. A shop at the entrance sells items made by the community as well as monastic products. A walking path runs along the Loire in front of the monastery.
