Visitation Monastery of Paris
Hidden in the 6th arrondissement, the Visitation Monastery of Paris occupies a beautiful private mansion built in the 18th century. The sisters settled here in 1819 and had a chapel built. On the neighboring plot, and with the help of the Countess of Ségur, the sisters had a boarding school for young girls constructed. Now elderly and few in number, the last religious sisters transferred the monastery to the Diocese of Paris in 2010, and it is now planned to become a solidarity center housing several associations. The vocation of the place is therefore still being honored!
