Visitation Monastery of Troyes

Founded in the 17th century by Bishop René de Breslay, the Visitation Monastery is a haven of peace and greenery in the heart of the city of Troyes in Aube! From four sisters and two novices at the start, they grew to more than sixteen nuns by 1635. After more than 400 years of presence in Troyes, the Visitation remains a cloistered contemplative order, living according to the precepts of the order's co-founder, Saint Francis de Sales.
