A liturgical formation weekend organized by the pastoral team of the sanctuary and the diocese of Gap-Embrun.
Song and the Word of God in the liturgy of the Mass - Revisiting and improving our practices
Basic theoretical formation and practical workshops of your choice (singing, leading, developing a song program for Mass, music, writing a universal prayer, proclaiming the Word of God...).
For anyone involved in leading (singing, musical accompaniment) and the liturgical teams of the Sunday Mass in their parish.
Programme
Saturday
9:00 AM: welcome coffee
9:30 AM: introduction to the session
9:45 AM: 1st presentation: "What is liturgy?" followed by discussion and questions.
11:15 AM: Mass
2:30–5:15 PM: 2 workshops of your choice: Singing a psalm / Cantor or song leader? / Preparing a universal prayer / Proclaiming a reading / How to choose a Mass hymn?
8:15 PM: evening gathering: "Learning a song: why do we sing it?"
Sunday
9:00 AM: 2nd presentation: "The coherence of the Eucharistic celebration: song at the service of the Mystery".
10:30 AM: solemn Mass
2:00–3:00 PM: 1 workshop of your choice from: Singing a psalm / Preparing a universal prayer / Cantor or song leader? / Proclaiming a reading / How to choose a Mass hymn?
3:00 PM: group discussion and questions
4:30 PM: Vespers and end of the weekend

Getting there
Take the train to Gap then the bus to the sanctuary
Take the A6 then follow the A43 toward Gap until exit 8.
If steep slopes don't scare you, climb up to the sanctuary at the summit
