Retreat "singing body, soul, and spirit"

Singing to open oneself to the love of God and others

4 – August 8, 2027 Bassac Abbey Charente 8 places
Retreat "singing body, soul, and spirit"

"The work of the singing voice is a special opportunity to connect with one's body, one's story, and one's relationship to life"

Drawing on the Bible, we offer a journey of opening through song to a broader dimension of one's being.

Biblical reference points and exercises in breath, sound, and voice.

No particular level of singing or musical ability is required.

Facilitators: Dorothée Perreau and Father Patrick Sempere of the Communauté du Cœur de Jésus de Bassac.

Dorothée Perreau is a classical singer, cantor, and singing voice therapist. She offers guidance sessions to help each person find, through song, keys to self-discovery and transformation. Trained for over 15 years under Laurence de Sève, she continues to deepen her practice with her and explore the power that singing offers.

Programme

Each day's program includes:

  • two biblical teachings,
  • an individual workshop with exercises in breath / sound / voice within a small group (maximum 4 people),
  • a choir workshop.

Free time will also be provided to internalize what has been experienced (gardening, walking...).

Participation in the offices and the Eucharist is also offered.
