A Lenten weekend around the figure of the Samaritan woman

At the heart of Lent, a weekend around the encounter between Jesus and the Samaritan woman to take time  

  • to draw from the source of the Word of God,  
  • to experience a heart-to-heart with the Lord,  
  • and to set off again on the path toward Easter in the joy and momentum of the Holy Spirit

"The water that I will give you will become in you a spring of water welling up to eternal life." (cf. John 4:14)  

For men and women ages 18 to 40 approximately.

  • prayerful reading and sharing of the Sunday Gospel (John chapter 4)

  • participation in the community's liturgy

  • Bible workshop: time for shared exchange and reflection to deepen the Gospel and its resonances throughout the Bible

  • discovery of different forms of personal prayer (mental prayer, prayer with the five senses, gestural prayer),

  • snack time / exchanges with sisters from the community (the ideal moment to ask all your questions)

  • free time for prayer, exchanges among retreatants, forest walks…

  • possibility of individual meeting with a sister

Schedule:

    • Weekend begins Friday, March 6 at 7:00 PM.
    • Weekend ends Sunday, March 8 at 4:00 PM.
    • Flexible arrival and departure times.

    Arrival and accommodation:

      • Accommodation in single or possibly double rooms (please specify if you don't mind sharing)
      • The monastery is served by Rémi 3B Orléans-Gien Express bus, but in case of missing train connections, carpooling is possible from Aubrais-Orléans or Gien train stations.

      Remember to bring:

        • packed lunch for Friday evening
        • Bible
        • sheets or sleeping bag and towels
        • warm clothing
        • shoes suitable for forest walking
        • if you wish: musical instrument, drawing materials, or other items for free time
