Gardening: a spiritual experience

The only prerequisites for this retreat session are a love of gardening, not being afraid to get dirty, remembering that the ground is low, and accepting that the weather doesn't always cooperate!

Gardening: a spiritual experience

Reserve my spot

With the volunteer gardeners of Penboc'h, discover the park and take an active and contemplative part in its future.

  • Exchange knowledge and ways of being.
  • Rejoice in being thus associated with the work of God the Creator.
  • Day by day, discover and deepen what gardening can awaken in us, through times of contemplation, team work and exchange, and meditation on the Word of God.

Personal accompaniment in a spiritual retreat according to the Exercises

The personal accompaniment we offer in Jesuit spiritual centers is inspired by the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius.

It helps you through the review of daily prayer times based on texts from the Bible and also through the review of your life to seek and find God in all things, to respond to your desire to know Christ better and, listening to the Word, to make choices for the future in order to follow him more closely.

What is it about?

  • Spiritual direction is a very ancient practice in the Church.
  • It involves speaking to a brother or sister in the faith about what makes up one's life and prayer in order to discover God at work in all aspects of existence with its shadows and lights.
  • The spiritual director is a believer, also engaged in the same search for God and trained in Ignatian spiritual direction.
  • He or she walks alongside the directee to help them free themselves from the obstacles that hinder them, at the stage where they are in their life and in the vocation that is theirs.
  • The spiritual director and the directee together place themselves in listening to the Spirit.
  • The spiritual director is bound to confidentiality.
