Retreat for Holy Week
Holy Week: All of God's Love given for me!
Reserve my spot"All of God's Love given for me!"
Preacher: Father Dominique Bostyn.
The Second Vatican Council teaches us that "the joys and hopes, the sorrows and anxieties of the people of this age, especially those who are poor or in any way afflicted, are the joys and hopes, the sorrows and anxieties of the followers of Christ. Indeed, nothing genuinely human fails to raise an echo in their hearts" (GS 1).
This is what we are called to embrace at the beginning of this Holy Week.
- What the world experiences is what Christ experiences.
- His merciful heart beats with ours.
- This tenderness surrounds each one of us so that our steps and our hearts may be directed toward a love, a charity that is always greater, always more intense.
- This desire of Christ is of a relevance that never fades.
- It is to freedom that the Lord educates us throughout Holy Week.
- We are called to live it in fidelity to the life of the Father who offers us his Son as a sign of his passionate love for each one of us.
Supreme folly, this mystery of Calvary.
Let us therefore enter this Holy Week following Christ with a confidence full of the assurance that God loves us.
He is the way that leads us to the Father, through the gift of the Spirit who assures us of God's Love.
For adults and teenagers.
