Writing icons: a path to oneself, a path to God
Within the monastery setting, combine the art of icon painting with fraternal and liturgical life in contact with the community.
Elena Passet was born in Russia in Acha, a "countryside" town at the foot of the Ural Mountains, between Europe and Asia. She quickly developed a passion for drawing and painting. After studies that enabled her to teach drawing at the Lycée d'Acha, she entered the pedagogical university of arts in Ufa, from which she graduated (with honors) in art drawing, technical drawing and fine arts. Married to a Frenchman, she now lives in Vercoiran in the Baronnies and gives lessons and workshops in drawing and painting.
Retreat open to anyone wishing to learn or improve their icon writing skills following the Russian tradition.
Program:
- Icon writing sessions in groups.
