Learning from the Holy Family how to build community

Reserve my spot

In a world where differences clash and vulnerabilities are exposed, the Holy Family teaches us how to live together in respect.

Learning from the Holy Family, we discover how to live together, how to love without judging, how to welcome without fear.

Being strong also means knowing how to draw near to the weakest. There have always been the strong and the weak.

Today, through modern means of communication, through suburbs and housing, we "rub shoulders" more with others. This facilitates greater closeness, but also more aggression, even attacks.

Certainly we are profoundly unequal because of our early childhood, our culture, our encounters, etc., but we are all equal in dignity.

Let us not forget the dignity of the smallest, the unfortunate, the "defenseless" as Saint John Eudes would say, the disabled.

It is increasingly necessary to bring "humanity" and cordiality where there is arrogant behavior.

Mary, blessed by God, "struggled beautifully" in many ways: she gave birth to her little treasure, Jesus, outside (no room for them at the inn), she experienced with Joseph the state of being a refugee, she became a widow before old age, she lost her child and we know in what manner.

Learning from the Holy Family, we can discover how to "build community", how to live "in covenant".
