A retreat at Notre-Dame de Wisques Abbey
Going on a monastic retreat means coming away for four days to live, with others, a spiritual experience, in a fraternal and family-like atmosphere.
The monastic retreat is an invitation to experience a dive into interior life, to disconnect as much as possible from external distractions in order to return to the essential and discover the treasure hidden deep within: God's plan for you!
Joy, interior life, time to discern under God's gaze—these are what leave a profound mark.
"I thank you from the bottom of my heart for this retreat. For four days I was able to discover monastic life, take a step back, and refocus on the essential. Every moment of this retreat (the teachings, the work, the divine offices, the times of fellowship) will help me, I am sure, in discerning my vocation. It is a true joy to have met you, and I carry with me your smiles, your joy of living, and above all God's presence in each of you. You radiate a light that deeply touched me, and I hope to reflect Jesus' presence in my life in this way, whatever my vocation may be. Thank you all. I carry you in my prayer." (Hélène, 24 years old)
