Going on retreat together
This retreat is for couples who wish to nurture their relationship by taking this time apart together, for walking and prayer, sharing and renewal.
It is led by a couple from the Community, Véronique and François Vignon, Father Christophe Lamm, and a team.

Programme
Session program
Each day of the retreat will include a teaching, an easy hike starting from the Thumnenau, a time of prayer, the Eucharist (sometimes in a small chapel along the way), and times of sharing.
Practical information
From Wednesday, July 8 (7:00 PM) to Sunday, July 12, 2026 (4:00 PM). Welcome from 6:30 PM.
- A meal is served upon arrival
- Bed linen rental available on site (€5)
- We will hike 3 to 4 hours per day with minimal elevation gain. A picnic lunch will be provided. Please bring: hiking shoes and walking poles, a backpack, a warm layer, a waterproof jacket or rain poncho, sunglasses and sunscreen, a sun hat, a water bottle (at least 1 liter) and optionally a thermos, one Tupperware container per person for the picnic, and insect repellent.
- Estimated total cost of the session: €400/couple (meals, accommodation, facilitation), payable at the end of the session.
- Please bring your Bible and something to write with.
- Also bring your own cloth napkin and napkin ring.
- If you do not wish to be photographed, please let us know.
Registration is confirmed only upon receipt of a €50 deposit (which you can pay by sending a check made out to Centre d'accueil de la Thumenau, or online via the Puits de Jacob website by clicking here). However, please notify us of any cancellation as soon as you have received our registration confirmation.
Getting there
Strasbourg train station, then take the Tram (Campus d'Illkirch station): the community can then pick you up at the tram station, otherwise bus from the tram station. Another option: Erstein station from where you can also take the bus to the Thumenau stop or request pickup.
