"Today a Savior has been born to you!" (Lk 2:11)

A spiritual retreat to prepare for Christmas

This weekend will seek to offer answers to life's great human and spiritual questions, as well as to the challenges of the contemporary world, through lively teachings grounded in the Word of God and lived experience. The teachings will be given by a sister of the community.

During this time of human and spiritual renewal, you will also be carried by an atmosphere of prayer and silence and a carefully celebrated liturgy.

The life-giving presence of nature, the discreet yet attentive care of the brothers and sisters who will share this spiritual retreat with you (as it is preached for them as well), and the recollection of each person will open you to the mystery of the God of Mercy and Life.

Open to anyone aged 17 and over.

Programme

  • One teaching on Saturday afternoon and three on Sunday.

  • Celebration of the Easter Vigil on Saturday evening and Mass on Sunday.

  • Opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation and/or spiritual guidance.

  • Time for rest, meditation, and silent prayer.

  • Meals shared together with beautiful background music. Sunday evening dinner is a time for conversation.

  • The community shop will be open on Sunday early afternoon.

Practical information

Practical details

  • Arrival on Saturday, December 12, between 1:30 and 2:00 PM (we can pick you up from the Annonay bus station). The spiritual retreat ends after Sunday evening dinner (around 8:00 PM).

  • Accommodation in single rooms (except for couples). Please bring something to take notes. You will find a New Testament in your room for your use.

  • Bed linens are provided in the rooms, but we ask you to bring your own towels. We suggest bringing a white garment (shirt, sweater, scarf, etc.) to celebrate the Resurrection, from Saturday evening through Sunday evening.
