Discover the life of Carmelite nuns in Normandy!
2 days to enter into the experience of life at the Carmel:
- Come to the desert, rest your heart in silence
- Open yourself to listening to the Lord
- If you wish, receive guidance for discernment.
"Flos Carmeli" are the opening words of the traditional prayer to Our Lady of Mount Carmel, recited by all Carmelite friars and nuns. This prayer will guide you throughout your weekend of discernment.
Several dates are offered throughout the year to come and experience life at the Carmel and to meet the Carmelite sisters.
Programme
Upon your arrival, the different elements of the retreat are presented to you, and we adjust them together to fit your personal search. You are the protagonist of your own weekend! With the Holy Spirit guiding you along the way...
Concretely, we offer you:
- Participation in the Divine Office and the Eucharist with the community
- An introduction to mental prayer, lectio divina, and inhabited silence
- A meeting with some of the sisters, and a period of manual work if you wish.

Lunches and dinners on site. Sheets and towels provided. Remember to bring a Bible and something to write with. Other dates available upon request.Suggested offering

Getting there
Le Havre train station, then the monastery is accessible on foot (30 min), by bus (30 min), or by taxi (20 min)
Head north via the A13, A84, or A28; or come down from the north via the A29!
Be prepared for a climb on arrival!
