For this Ash Wednesday 2026, the Benedictine Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Montmartre offer you a day of retreat at Saint Benoit Priory, in 2 formats: day or evening (or both!)
Saint Benoit Priory is easily accessible within Paris for a 24-hour break mid-week, and at the same time offers the charm of the Montmartre hill to feel a bit transported elsewhere...
Wednesday, February 18
- 8:00 AM: Lauds (if possible, otherwise you can arrive at 10:00 AM)
- 10:00 AM: Talk: "Return to Me with all your heart!" (Joel 2:12)
- 11:30 AM: Mass with imposition of ashes followed by adoration until 6:00 PM
- 12:15 PM: Rice bowl
- 1:30 PM: Office of Midday
- 3:00 PM: Lectio Divina (prayerful reading of God's Word)
- 6:00 PM: Vespers (if possible)
- Opportunity to meet with a sister
- Opportunity for confession at the basilica
