Retreats organized by the community
In the heart of Montmartre: Saint-Benoît Priory
The Priory is located in Paris, at the top of Montmartre Hill, just behind the Sacré-Cœur Basilica. Very close to the Carmel, it offers a setting of peace and silence in the heart of a picturesque and touristy neighborhood.
During the construction of the Basilica of Montmartre, Adèle Garnier received, at the end of the 19th century, the intuition to link the devotion to the Sacred Heart and Eucharistic adoration, as well as to found a religious community. The Congregation of the Adorers of the Sacred Heart of Montmartre was thus born on March 4, 1898.

The Congregation of the Benedictine Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Montmartre
The charism of the Congregation of the Benedictine Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Montmartre is part of the spiritual movement that led to the construction of the Sacré-Cœur Basilica of Montmartre.
In the spirit of this place, the Sisters seek to live in fraternal community and are open to welcoming all those who are drawn here. They are established in different sanctuaries in France to live out this charism, particularly that of Montmartre!
The community of Saint-Benoît Priory is composed of about a dozen sisters. Their primary mission is prayer lived through the Liturgy of the Hours and Eucharistic adoration. They love to have all those who come to find renewal at the priory participate, and offer those who wish it an introduction to Adoration prayer, to lectio divina ...
They are eager to share with those they welcome the family spirit that animates their community, according to the Benedictine tradition.
