For this Ash Wednesday 2026, the Benedictine sisters of the Sacred Heart of Montmartre invite you to the Saint Benoit Priory for a day of retreat, in 2 options: day or evening (or both!)
The Saint Benoit Priory is easily accessible in Paris for a 24-hour break mid-week, while also offering the charm of the Montmartre hill for a change of scenery...
Wednesday, February 18
- 8:00 AM: Lauds (if possible, otherwise you may arrive at 10:00 AM)
- 10:00 AM: Talk: "Return to Me with all your heart!" (Joel 2:12)
- 11:30 AM: Mass with imposition of ashes, followed by adoration until 6:00 PM
- 12:15 PM: Simple meal (rice bowl)
- 1:30 PM: Midday Office
- 3:00 PM: Lectio divina (prayerful reading of the Word of God)
- 6:00 PM: Vespers (if possible)
- Opportunity to meet with a sister
- Opportunity for confession at the basilica
