A summer at work
The Retreat-Work Camp is a time for retreat with participation in various outdoor or indoor work projects depending on strength and skills.
The goal is to learn to savor the Love of God through prayer, work, simple and fraternal life among young and old.
The work is framed by praise and the Eucharist.
Session schedule
- 9:00 AM: Praise
- 9:30 AM: Teaching, Personal time
- 11:55 AM: Mass, Meal in silence or with music
- 2:30 or 3:00 PM: Praise, Teaching, Spiritual guidance, Personal time
- 7:00 PM: Meal
- 8:30 PM: Evening gathering or Compline
Summer Retreat-Work Camp from Monday, July 20 at 7:00 PM to Sunday, July 26, 2026 at 2:00 PM. Welcome from 6:30 PM
Please let us know if you will arrive by train or car. We can possibly pick you up at the tram station (the round-trip tram-Thumenau transportation by car is estimated at €10), please let us know now.
- Option to rent sheets and/or towels (€5).
- A meal is served upon arrival. In case of dietary restrictions, please notify us and send an updated medical certificate now. (The house does not provide gluten-free bread)
- Suggested daily cost: Adults (15 years and older) €30, or €180 for the entire retreat; children (up to 14 years) €15, or €90 for the complete retreat, 2nd child €70, 3rd child €50.
- Bring your Bible and something to write with.
- Also bring your table napkin and napkin holder.
- If you do not wish to be photographed, please let us know.
Registration is final only after receipt of a €50 deposit (which you can pay by sending a check to Centre d'accueil de la Thumenau or online via the Puits de Jacob website by clicking here). However, please notify us of any cancellation as soon as you have received our registration confirmation.
