Fraternité Eucharistein
In the heart of Haute-Savoie, the Fraternité Eucharistein, present in Saint Jeoire since 2008, is a community of consecrated brothers and sisters. The fraternity welcomes those who wish to take time for renewal and share its rhythm for a few days.
Welcomed at the Château de Beauregard, guests can also enjoy the mountain setting with a magnificent view of the Alps.

The history of the Château de Beauregard
The history of the Château de Beauregard has been intertwined with that of Haute-Savoie for 800 years. The defensive role of this former 13th-century stronghold led to it being built overlooking the village. Successive additions over the centuries to the original rectangular keep gave it its current form. The château remained in the de la Fléchère family until 2004, when its last inhabitants, Count Roger and his wife Jacqueline, passed it on to the Diocese of Annecy to house the Fraternité Eucharistein.
Over the years, a large part of the château, including the roof, has been restored, and two outbuildings have been converted into residential houses. Two one-hectare kitchen gardens are cultivated. The entire estate is at the service of those who wish to spend time on a spiritual retreat, short or long, in a fraternal setting.

The Fraternité Eucharistein in St Jeoire
The consecrated brothers and sisters of the Fraternité Eucharistein are united by a charism: to live the Eucharist in the Mass, in adoration, and in every aspect of their lives.
Since 1996, the Fraternity has welcomed people in difficulty or searching, to share a community life of prayer and manual work, across three houses (Valais, Var, and Haute-Savoie). Their simple, fraternal way of life lends itself well to a time of personal rebuilding or a time of stepping back and discernment.
Committed to a specific apostolate among youth and families, the community strives to support the Church's mission of evangelization. Currently, ten full-time members look after hospitality, the gardens, and construction projects in Saint-Jeoire. Religious, guests, and volunteers work together in their permaculture gardens, among their fruit trees, and on various projects.

What to expect during your stay
The community does not have a guest house as such. If you come individually, you are in principle welcomed within the community, at the heart of its life. If you come as a family, you are fully independent in a house adjacent to the château.
Here are the different types of stays on offer:
- A stay for a few days of retreat. The community offers a participatory retreat at the heart of community life: sharing meals, prayer times, fraternal life, and times of work. Simple manual work done alongside a brother or sister, in daily tasks, in the kitchen garden, or through various small contributions, is a wonderful opportunity to step away from life's worries and share informal moments together.
- A stay for a family spiritual vacation in an independent house with its own kitchen.
- A long-term stay for a time of personal rebuilding or an accompanied vocational discernment. After a trial week, it is possible to be welcomed for several months within community life. This involves sharing the life of prayer, work, meals, and fraternal time over the medium term. This more particular form of welcome is discerned together, so as to be a genuine stretch of life's journey in faith.

Your retreat in Saint Jeoire
Depending on the type of stay, the community houses guests in rooms at the château or in the guest house:
- For individual stays, guests are generally housed in the château on the respective floors of the brothers or sisters, each with a shared bathroom on the floor.
- Couples and families are housed in the guest house. This house is brand new! Built in 2023, it has five twin rooms, each with its own bathroom. Families are independent for meals and may use one of the two kitchens to prepare their own food.
