Maison Saint François is a former Capuchin friary that retains traces of its history: granite buildings, chapel, rooms for walking, garden... The property is surrounded by an enclosure wall that encloses the garden and gives the place a distinctive character imbued with gentle tranquility.
Hospitality at Maison Saint François is designed to be welcoming, like a family. Everyone is free to organize their own schedule. All gather at mealtimes, a fraternal moment to create bonds in an atmosphere of simplicity and mutual respect.
Located 100 meters from the sea, situated above a lovely cove, near downtown Dinard, Maison Saint François welcomes you year-round.

What to expect during your stay

Alone, with friends, with family or in a group, priest, nun or monk, believer or not, the stay options are varied! Year-round, Maison Saint François is open to everyone and welcomes guests for vacations with full board for a stay of your chosen duration.

The house includes 70 rooms, single, double or for families. All rooms are equipped with complete bathrooms.
Two large sunroom lounges, a television room, a welcome area, a library, a chapel, meeting rooms for groups and a 1/2 hectare landscaped garden with varied spaces: lawns, trees, flower beds, benches, play area for children...

Maison Saint François is located in the residential neighborhood of la Vicomté, renowned for its calm. From there, the view overlooks Saint-Malo, the "corsair city", and the ancient city of Aleth (Saint Servan). Downtown Dinard is 30 minutes on foot, 10 minutes by car, 20 minutes by city bus. The seaside resort of Dinard is known for its cultural vitality and the distinctive architecture of its villas from the early 20th century.
From Dinard, Saint-Lunaire and Saint-Briac, the panorama of the Emerald Coast extends from east to west from the Pointe de la Varde to Cap Fréhel.

Sublime places to discover in Brittany or Normandy
To discover, near Maison Saint François and the Foyer de charité de Tressaint:
- Saint-Malo, the "corsair city" (10 km away), the rampart walk offers an overview of the city, the Rance estuary and the ports. Excursion to Chateaubriand's tomb on the Grand Bé islet, accessible at low tide.
- Mont Saint-Michel and its bay (50 km away), "Marvel of the West". An absolute must-see! Walking crossings of the bay are organized from the Norman coast.
- Dinan, the "medieval city" (30 km away), old town with picturesque streets and buildings from the 15th and 16th centuries. Don't miss walking down Rue du Jerzual which leads to the old port. The towpath runs along the Rance from lock to lock.
- Saint-Suliac, peninsula on the Rance (18 km away), small picturesque fishing village on the banks of the tidal Rance.
- Cancale and Pointe du Grouin (25 km away), from Port de la Houle, you can see at low tide the tight grid of oyster beds. Essential tasting... Not far from there, Pointe du Grouin offers one of the most beautiful panoramas in Brittany.
- Cap Fréhel and Fort Lalatte (40 km away), hike on the coastal path, visit Fort Lalatte, landscape of cliffs overlooking a sea with changing colors: Brittany as you dream it, beautiful in all seasons.
