The Saint Joseph Guest House at Trinità dei Monti

The Saint Joseph Guest House is a beautiful 17th-century building that offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, conducive to rest and peace of body, heart, and spirit. We are happy to connect with guests who wish to do so.

In the heart of Rome, a place filled with history

In the heart of Rome's historic center, adjacent to Villa Medici, the guest house overlooks the Spanish Steps and its famous staircase. Located in a magnificent garden, it provides guests with a peaceful setting. It features a terrace offering a breathtaking view of Rome, a beautiful spot to open yourself to contemplation and wonder.

Initially crowned by Lucullus's sumptuous Roman villa, the Pincio Hill later welcomed the church and convent of Trinità dei Monti. This place was given by Charles VIII in the 15th century to thank St. Francis of Paola, founder of the Order of Minims, for the spiritual help he provided to his father, Louis XI.

Both a dwelling for servants of the poorest and a place displaying the power of the Kings of France, you will discover a place filled with history that sits at the heart of relations between France, the Holy See, and Italy.

From St. Francis of Paola to St. Madeleine Sophie Barat, passing through Louis XIV, Pozzo, Emmanuel Maignan and Mater Admirabilis, you will take a true journey through time, carried by the serenity of this place conducive to rest and artistic and spiritual contemplation.

Sit on a bench and contemplate the Eternal City!
