Monks

The Abbazia di Casamari is located in Veroli, in the province of Frosinone (Lazio, Italy). A community of sixteen Cistercian monks lives the Rule of Saint Benedict there, within one of the finest examples of Italian Cistercian architecture, consecrated in 1217. The abbey is the mother house of the Congregation of Casamari, affiliated with the Cistercian Order.

The abbey welcomes priests, religious, and men traveling alone who wish to spend a few days at the rhythm of community life, as well as pilgrims passing through on the Way of Saint Benedict or the Via Francigena del Sud. Groups (parishes, camps, scouts) are received at the Grangia di Antera, a small self-managed convent on the nearby hills.
