GROWING IN SELF-ESTEEM: LOVING YOURSELF IN TRUTH TO LOVE IN FREEDOM
Growing in self-esteem and esteem of the Self
Loving ourselves as we are
This is a workshop for growing in self-esteem and esteem of the Self, based on the pedagogy of Jean Monbourquette, a Canadian priest and psychologist.
Jean Monbourquette, like Jung, believes that in order to grow in humanity it is important to take into account both dimensions of the person: the psychological and the spiritual.
The Clarisses monastery is an ideal setting for participants to experience this workshop. The spiritual presence and prayers of the sisters can support participants on this path of self-knowledge and open them to their inner life as they care for their soul.
A healthy self-esteem is born from our inner life and gradually transforms our relationships with others (our children, our parents, our social and professional relationships). It helps us move beyond feelings of superiority and inferiority so that we can love ourselves as we are, dare to assert ourselves, and give the best of ourselves. A healthy self-esteem allows us to set goals that truly fit who we are, to believe in our abilities, and to fulfill our mission.
This workshop is a time for self-knowledge, for understanding our behaviors and our inner life, in order to foster a healthy self-esteem that helps us adjust in our relationships with others. Love yourself better to love others better!
The pedagogy draws on "strategies" designed by Jean Monbourquette to help participants become aware of themselves and make choices and commitments to change, step by step, what is not working well in their life for themselves and in their relationships. Awareness and action!
Here is what I can offer, to see if it feels right for you! I adapt each workshop!
The maximum number of participants is 12.
Programme
This workshop offers 2 days to explore how to develop a healthy self-esteem in its two aspects: loving yourself as you are (being) and trusting in your abilities (doing).
Periods of theory and practice will alternate, along with group sharing, to help you:
Take stock of your self-esteem regarding who you are and what you can do, and strengthen both, using visual and auditory strategies and by welcoming your emotions.
Learn to set a realistic, achievable goal that is good for your self-esteem.
Access your inner life and care for your soul. Make peace with your shadow.
Assert yourself while respecting others, by daring to make specific requests, setting your limits while still respecting the other person...
